Product tips

Latex casts

1. Liquid latex contains ammonia as a solvent. Ensure sufficient ventilation during use.

2. Clean the object and possibly coat it with a lubricant like Vaseline or a soap solution

3. Use a brush to apply liquid latex to the object, or dip it directly into the latex.

4. Allow the latex to harden/dry and repeat the process at least 5 times or until the desired cast thickness is reached.

5. After the final dipping/brushing, put down the object in such a way that a 'collar' forms around the underside. The cast can be suspended from this collar when filling it.

6. The drying time depends on the ambient temperature. Higher temperatures speed up the drying process, while lower temperatures slow it down.

7. Remove the object from the cast by rolling the cast off it.
