Wood Wick instructions
Our Wood wick (WPT-xxxx) consists of a flat piece of wood fixed to a wood wick clip (PVH-00001) which is placed in candlewax. When a Wood Wick candle burns, it makes a gentle crackling sound like a hearth fire, creating a pleasant and extraordinary atmosphere. An advantage over textile wicks is that these wooden wicks don't fall over in liquid wax. You can simply fill the glass or cast and insert the wick.
Wood Wick is especially suitable for use with pot- and glass candles, but can also be used to make freestanding candles in casts. Only casts with a flat top (blunt candle) are suitable for this purpose.
Select the desired size, cut the wick to the right length and fix it to the special Wood Wick clip. This wick will burn best if it protrudes at most 5mm from the wax when lit. Below is a list containing advice about the correct wick size. A combination of 2 wicks (max) can be required. If this is the case, place the flat sides of the wicks against each other and fix with a single clip.
The lit properties of Woodwick are best in paraffin, paraffin-stearin mixtures or stearin. If used for EcoSoya or Rapeseed wax the lit properties are not optimal.
The sizes below are suggestions. Always first test the lit properties yourself.
