tablets instruction manual
Step 2
Threading the wick through
the cast
Thread the wick through
the needle.
Move the needle with the wick
through the cast from top to
bottom and then through
the rubber sealing cap. This is
much easier if you use the
Gildewerk Wick pricker.
Remove the centring needle.
Please note: First put two-part
casts together.
Step 3
Tightening the wick
Place the centring needle in
the notches at the top of the cast.
Tie the wick to the needle.
Tighten the wick and firmly fasten
the sealing cap. You can also use
pliable leak stop to seal the cast.
Step 4
Filling the cast
Fill the cast to just below the brim.
Straight after pouring the wax,
tap on the side of the cast to release
any air bubbles.
After about half an hour, the wax
will be set but not yet hard.
If you notice a shrink hollow,
prick a few pencil-sized holes
around the wick.
Step 5
When the wax sets
Once the wax has set, refill the
shrink hollow with hot wax.
Step 6
Releasing the candle
(about 1 hour after pouring)
Remove the rubber sealing cap
or pliable leak stop.
Take apart two-part casts.
Hold the cast upside down.
Remove the candle by pressing
on the cast and pulling on
the centring needle.
